The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) is an Australian non-profit, secular, non-governmentorganization (NGO) established in 1992 with a vision for a world where no one is needlessly blind. Since 1992, FHF has worked with local blindness prevention agencies and health providers in 38 countries in Asia, Africa and the Pacific as well as with Indigenous communities in Australia. FHF is a member of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and the VISION 2020 Task Force. Their vision is simple but empowering.

In Nepal, FHF has a long history of collaborating with Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO) to alleviate avoidable blindness in Nepal and internationally. In future, FHF and TIO are planning to collaborate with other selected eye health care providers in Nepal.
