Nepal Telecom starts wifi-hotspots!

Nepal Telecom, the oldest telecommunication company in Nepal is upgrading it’s services time to time. After the latest launch of WiMax ,Nepal Telecom has joined the race of wifi services. Nepal Telecom is currently installing WiFi Hotspots in the Kathmandu valley. Brought as a part of the Wimax project, 500 WiFi hotspots will be set up in different parts of the country for major hospitals, airports, malls and VDCs as well. It was told previously that the hotspot work would be immediately started after the launch of WiMax but it took nearly 8 months to just start the work. Its better late than never that the WiFi service will be commercially launched after sometime. The  installation of Wifi hotspot is already completed in Tribhuvan International Airport and Teaching Hospital which is now available for free of charge. With the more and general use of smartphones ,tabs,pads , laptops, this wifi service will be more popular among the people who needs the internet in such places. But wide area expansion of wifi service is also necessary in order to reach to many other users .
