Nepal is in Southern Asia, between China and India. It covers total area of 143,351 sq km and its boundary is 2,926 km long in total, bordered by China 1,236 km and India 1,690 km.. Divided into 7 states and 75 districts and 744 local units including 4 metropolises, 13 sub-metropolises, 246 municipal councils and 481 villages, it is the 93rd largest country by area with a total population of about 26.4 millions. Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal. Nepal is popularly known for its natural beauty and it has its own cultures in the world. Nepali is the national language of Nepal. Nepal has got highest mountain in the world i.e. Mount Everest as well has 8 out of 14 highest mountains. Nepal is the only country with attitudinal variation that ranges from 70 meters to 8848 meters. There are many others things to boast like lake at highest altitude i.e. tilicho lake , the deepest gorges in kaligandaki , the highest valley in the earth Arun Valley, tallest grassland in the world in chitwan and many other things. Nepal is called as one of the Amazon of Asia. There are many hidden treasure of its rich biodiversity which is not yet fully explored as Many new species could be discovered from Nepal. there are more than 360 species of Orchid which constitutes over 2% of the world’s orchids. It has 8 % of the total species of birds found in the world. As ther is one bird which is found only in Nepal that is Spinny babbler. As it has comprises 6% of the world’s rhododendron species which is also known as national flower. There are 5980 species of flowering plan out of which 250 species are only found in Nepal. Some of the wild honeybees are also found. 650 species of butterfly are also found and many other different species of items are found.

Nepal is the birth place of gautam Buddha who is also known as light of Asia. It has different world heritage sites, where as Kathmandu has 7 world heritage Cultural sites. It is only the country with no rectangular shaped flag as it has two triangular shaped flag stacked with blue border. Cow is known as sacred in Nepal as it is also national animal. Ther is a culture of worshipping cow as goddess laxmi by hindu people. Nepal has the only living goddess in the world called “Kumari”. “Namaste” or “Namaskar” joining two palms and bending their neck is Nepalese culture of respect.
